If you are the King of England it certainly doesn’t hurt to have Leo – the royal sign – as your ascendent. His Scorpio Sun sign inclines to secrecy and the majority of planets (eight to be exact) are on the bottom half of the chart. This is someone who wants to keep private life private. But he is torn in two directions. Even if he weren’t royalty that moon in his 10th house and his ascendent squaring his moon makes him a mamma’s boy and puts him in the public eye. A Leo ascendent does love attention, adulation and admiration. His 7th house (marriage) has Aquarius on the cusp (beginning) indicating an independent and unconventional marriage partner – someone who would not be likely to do what is ‘expected “ of her. Charles has six planets in angular houses (houses 1, 4, 7 and 10) and four in succedent houses (2, 5, 8 and 11 the result houses). There are no planets in the cadent houses (3, 6, 9 and 12 the background houses ). People with no cadent planets either have to start from scratch over and over or they are totally indifferent to their background and just take if for granted. A King doesn’t have to start anything from scratch as all is taken care of for him.
